Several years ago, a very close friend was diagnosed with cancer. I wanted to help her as much as I could, so I dove into the research. I found a lot of information, but with no help to decipher the good solid support methods vs. the crazy off the wall remedies, I was at a loss and grew very frustrated. I was unable to connect the dots for her in time, and sadly, she passed away just 6 months after her diagnosis.
After her death, my interest in the nutrition field only grew. I believed then as I do now, that food IS medicine. I read anything and everything nutrition related I could find. I looked for courses to take, and finally found the nutrition degree program I ultimately graduated from in 2018. I loved every second.
Today, I use the knowledge I learned in school and my own personal experience to help women transition through peri-menopause and menopause. As a boutique owner, I’ve met a lot of awesome women. So many struggle with aging, and the many changes that occur. I want to help women see that it doesn’t have to be something to dread or make us miserable!
The bottom line? You are not supposed to feel cranky, exhausted, hungry and frumpy or like a hormonal mess. There is so much you can do to help your body through this normal, healthy, transition and come out thriving on the other side!

In early 2019, I scheduled a meeting with Jody. After years of pain from arthritis and inflammation, a few easy tweaks to my diet gave me significant improvement.
